Designing Interactive System For Use in Computer Game Prototype Stage
Abstract
The initial stage of computer game design is where the crucial element of game play is emerged. However once the iĀdea is transported from designer mind to digital playable game prototype, there is the gulf between his/her thinking and making. Our project aims at designing the tools to bridge that gulf. The tools that game designer can intuitively interact with complex system at the initial stage of design. Drawing on the theories of embodiments, fusing between body and mind, Thinking through Doing, we use 'Tangible user interface' integrated with 'Programing by Demonstration' approach to design and create the system. The first approach is implemented to allow more human experience and team participation to interact with the system. The later approach is to extend the first approach, allowing direct manipulation, to perform in computational level for the system. The behavior or repetitive action that designer intuitively assigned to the character or objects is recorded and taught as the new behavior to the system. The project, therefore, serves the sign of 'End User Development' in the realm of computer game designing.

Thesis Question
How Tangible User Interface integrated with Programming by Demonstration approach can enable the intuitive and creative way in the game design process.
Research Method
Value and Potential
-Enhancing the creativity of game designer through the visceral action. -Encouraging the user participation /modification in game development as they can easily design in physical interaction and mediated through the computer networking.
